Riyadh, January 5, 2025 – The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has furthered its commitment to humanitarian aid in Yemen by signing a cooperation agreement with a prominent civil society organization to implement the sixth phase of its mobile clinics system in the conflict-affected regions of Saada and Hajjah governorates. This collaborative initiative is set to provide critical medical care to those in dire need, with an estimated 52,124 individuals expected to benefit from the project, which is valued at $504,000.

The agreement was formalized at KSrelief’s headquarters in Riyadh, with Eng. Ahmed Al Baiz, Assistant Supervisor General of Operations and Programs at KSrelief, representing the center. The primary goal of this project is to combat the spread of diseases and epidemics, particularly in regions severely affected by displacement, poor healthcare infrastructure, and a lack of basic medical services.

The project will deploy mobile clinics across Saada and Hajjah, offering both medical and non-medical services to displaced populations. The agreement also includes the provision of essential medicines and medical supplies, as well as the management of medical waste to ensure environmental safety. An integrated approach will be adopted, focusing on localizing healthcare efforts, which will contribute to the sustainable development of the healthcare system in these regions.

KSrelief's efforts are part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s broader strategy to address the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Yemen, reinforcing its position as a global leader in humanitarian aid. Through its initiatives like this one, KSrelief continues to play a crucial role in alleviating suffering and supporting the health sector in Yemen, where access to healthcare remains limited due to years of conflict and instability.

The mobile clinic system will be a vital lifeline for many, providing emergency medical care to communities that are otherwise inaccessible. It reflects the Kingdom’s unwavering commitment to offering emergency health services and humanitarian assistance to vulnerable populations in need.
