In partnership with NVIDIA, SDAIA introduces a professional training program in generative AI.

Launch of Generative AI Training Program: The Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) has launched a Professional Training Program in Generative AI in collaboration with NVIDIA, aiming to enhance local expertise in large language models and multimodal AI technologies.

Riyadh, December 16, 2024 – The Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) has unveiled an ambitious new initiative aimed at advancing Saudi Arabia's capabilities in artificial intelligence (AI). In collaboration with NVIDIA, SDAIA has launched the Professional Training Program in Generative AI, which will be offered through the Generative AI Academy. This program represents a significant step forward in the Kingdom’s efforts to foster a highly skilled workforce in the rapidly evolving field of AI and to position Saudi Arabia as a global leader in AI technology.

The training program is designed to equip specialists with cutting-edge skills in the burgeoning domain of generative AI. Participants will gain in-depth knowledge of large language models and multimodal models, two of the most transformative technologies driving the future of AI. The program will provide extensive training on building and customizing generative AI models, as well as leveraging parallel computing to accelerate the development and training of large-scale language models. Additionally, participants will learn how to design advanced AI applications based on these models, ensuring that they are deployed efficiently in production environments while maintaining sustainable performance.

This program will be available both in-person in Riyadh and Dhahran, as well as remotely, making it accessible to professionals across the Kingdom. SDAIA announced that registration for the Dhahran-based program is now open and will remain open until December 19, 2024. The Dhahran program will officially commence on December 29, 2024, and run for one month, with other programs in Riyadh and remote locations to be announced shortly.

To participate in the training program, candidates must meet specific academic qualifications. Applicants are required to have a PhD or master's degree in deep learning, a bachelor's degree in AI, or a bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering with a focus on AI and relevant coursework in deep learning. Registration details for the Riyadh-based and remote programs will be shared in due course.

This initiative is part of SDAIA’s broader strategy to enhance national capabilities in generative AI and empower Saudi talent to develop advanced skills that align with global AI advancements. By providing professionals with the opportunity to obtain specialized training and earn NVIDIA professional certifications, SDAIA is reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s commitment to advancing its technological landscape and preparing the workforce for the digital future.

The launch of the Professional Training Program in Generative AI aligns closely with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 objectives, which emphasize innovation, technology, and a sustainable future. As the Kingdom continues to invest in its people and technology infrastructure, this program is set to play a pivotal role in developing a highly skilled, AI-savvy workforce that will be key to driving the nation’s digital transformation and contributing to global AI advancements.
