Al-Hasakah/Raqqa, February 16, 2025 — In its ongoing commitment to providing humanitarian assistance, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has successfully distributed 1,099 food baskets and 1,099 health bags in the cities of Al-Hasakah and Raqqa, located in northeastern Syria. This critical aid initiative, which has directly benefited a total of 6,594 individuals, is part of the second phase of a larger project designed to deliver essential food and health supplies to those affected by ongoing crises in the region.
The food baskets, which are vital for addressing food insecurity, include a variety of essential items that help families meet their basic nutritional needs. The health bags, provided alongside the food aid, contain crucial medical supplies that aim to address immediate health concerns in areas suffering from limited access to healthcare services. These supplies are designed to provide relief to vulnerable populations, particularly those living in conflict-affected areas where access to food and healthcare remains severely limited.
This distribution is part of Saudi Arabia's broader humanitarian efforts, coordinated through KSrelief, the Kingdom’s official agency responsible for international aid and relief. KSrelief has been a leading force in delivering urgent humanitarian assistance across the globe, focusing on providing life-saving support to communities facing the worst of crises, whether caused by conflict, natural disasters, or economic hardship.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has long been at the forefront of global humanitarian initiatives, and KSrelief’s efforts in Syria are a testament to the country’s deep commitment to supporting nations in need. By distributing both food and health supplies, Saudi Arabia aims to alleviate the suffering of displaced and vulnerable populations, promoting stability and well-being in a region that has endured prolonged hardship.
This relief project is part of KSrelief’s larger strategy to provide targeted aid across Syria and other regions experiencing severe humanitarian challenges. The center continues to work closely with international partners and local organizations to ensure that aid reaches the most affected areas, maximizing its impact and improving the quality of life for those in urgent need.
Through its comprehensive aid programs, KSrelief is helping to bring much-needed relief to communities in Syria and around the world, reaffirming Saudi Arabia’s commitment to global solidarity and humanitarian assistance.
