Jakarta, March 17, 2025 – In a remarkable display of solidarity and generosity, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance of Saudi Arabia, through the Religious Attaché at the Kingdom's Embassy in Indonesia, organized a grand Ramadan iftar event at the 99 Dome Mosque in Makassar. The iftar, held as part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Ramadan Iftar Program for 1446 AH, was attended by senior officials, religious leaders, and approximately 10,000 fasting individuals from various communities.

The event was a testament to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s enduring commitment to supporting and fostering unity among Muslims worldwide, particularly during the sacred month of Ramadan. The well-organized banquet was carefully planned, with the streets leading to the mosque adorned with vibrant displays featuring the images of the Kingdom’s leadership and the program's logos. This added a personal and symbolic touch to the occasion, further reinforcing the message of brotherhood and charitable giving that defines the month of Ramadan.

Over 10,000 meals were distributed during the iftar, facilitated by a team of 300 dedicated organizers who worked tirelessly to ensure the smooth execution of the event. The meals were provided to both local residents and visitors, offering them the opportunity to break their fast in a spirit of communal unity and devotion. The large turnout underscored the significance of the event in the local community, where the iftar not only provided nourishment but also served as an opportunity for reflection, prayer, and the strengthening of bonds among the attendees.

This iftar was part of a broader series of Ramadan activities organized by the Kingdom through its various diplomatic missions, further reflecting Saudi Arabia’s deep commitment to humanitarian efforts and fostering goodwill across the Muslim world. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Ramadan Iftar Program continues to provide essential support to those observing Ramadan in different parts of the world, reinforcing the values of charity, compassion, and unity that are central to the Islamic faith.
