Interior Minister Examines Security Forces Preparedness for Hajj


- Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of the Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee, assessed the readiness of the Hajj security forces to ensure the safety and security of pilgrims.


- Lieutenant General Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Bassami, Director of Public Security and Chairman of the Hajj Security Committee, emphasized the importance of early preparation and collaboration among relevant authorities in terms of security and prevention.


- The security forces conducting the Hajj are well-equipped and well-prepared to handle any threats and ensure a comfortable and easy experience for the pilgrims. The Kingdom has also incorporated modern technology and artificial intelligence to better serve and protect the pilgrims.




On June 12, 2024, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of the Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee, conducted an assessment of the readiness of the Hajj security forces to carry out their responsibility in safeguarding the safety and security of pilgrims. This occurred when the interior minister was supporting the annual Hajj security forces event for the 1445 AH Hajj calendar year. In his speech, Lieutenant General Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Bassami, who is the Director of Public Security and Chairman of the Hajj Security Committee, stated that the Hajj security forces had begun their duties for this year's Hajj. He emphasized the significance of early preparation and collaboration among all relevant authorities in terms of matters pertaining to security and prevention. Furthermore, he stated that the security forces conducting the Hajj are well-equipped and well-prepared to deal with any threat to the tranquility of the pilgrims and ensure that they are able to perform their rituals in a manner that is both easy and comfortable.


He noted that wise leadership has prioritized the care of pilgrims, the maintenance of services, and the development of holy sites. He added that the Kingdom has used state-of-the-art modern technology and artificial intelligence to better serve and protect the pilgrims. He also added that the Kingdom has used most of its human and mechanical energies and maximized the use of these technologies. After applying a number of different security theories, the Hajj security forces announced that they have successfully finished their preparation. These theories revealed the degree of forces' capability and proficiency.
