MAKKAH, March 29, 2025 — Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif visited the Grand Mosque Security Operations Center on Friday to assess security efforts during the Ramadan Umrah season.


During his visit, Prince Abdulaziz received a briefing from Director of Public Security Lt. Gen. Mohammed Al-Bassami on the outcomes of pre-planned security measures designed to manage the increasing number of pilgrims and worshippers.


He also observed the latest technologies used in crowd management, including advanced AI-powered data analysis systems, which have improved the safe and efficient movement of pilgrims in and out of the Grand Mosque.


Prince Abdulaziz conveyed the greetings and appreciation of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman to the security forces involved in the Umrah mission.


He commended their dedication and professionalism and encouraged them to continue ensuring the safety and comfort of pilgrims.
