Riyadh, December 25, 2023, The Minister of Interior, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, engaged in official discussions today with the Qatari Minister of Interior, Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, at the ministry's headquarters in Riyadh.
This meeting is under the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, and Prime Minister, emphasizing the historical relations between the two countries.
Prince Abdulaziz reiterated that the security initiatives and objectives, as outlined during the seventh meeting of the Saudi-Qatari Coordination Council, underscore the commitment of both nations' leadership to strengthen cooperation and collaborative efforts.
During the session, discussions centered on enhancing security cooperation between the two ministries. Following the deliberations, the two ministers participated in the signing of an action plan for a project aimed at facilitating the movement of passengers through the two land ports, specifically the Saudi Salwa and Qatari Abu Samra checkpoints. This collaborative effort reflects the ongoing commitment to fostering closer ties and operational coordination between Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
