The International Media Forum, focusing on 'The Role of Media in Inciting Hatred and Violence - Risks of Misinformation and Bias,' commenced in Jeddah today. Inaugurated by the Secretary-General of the Muslim World League and Chairman of the International Body of Muslim Scholars, Dr. Mohammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, the event drew the participation of ministers, Islamic and international media leaders, ambassadors, and figures from religious, intellectual, and human rights spheres.
The forum is a product of the close partnership between the Muslim World League and the Union of OIC News Agencies, aligned with their shared objectives. In his address representing scholars and intellectuals of the Islamic nation within the Muslim World League, Sheikh Al-Issa expressed deep appreciation for significant efforts supporting the Palestinian cause. He also acknowledged the resolute stance against crimes in Gaza, particularly applauding the historic summits led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
