Interpreters in 19 Languages at Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques at Makkah's Guests' Residences

For the Hajj season in Makkah, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance has set interpreters fluent in 19 languages ready.



The interpreters want to teach pilgrims on religious subjects, lead them through rites, and raise their religious consciousness.



The program is supported by Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince.




The 19th of June, 2024, Makkah. As a part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Guests Program for Hajj, Umrah, and Visit, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance has made preparations for interpreters who are proficient in 19 languages. These interpreters will assist pilgrims participating in the Hajj season in Makkah during the 1445 Arabic calendar year. English, French, Thai, Serbian, Urdu, Dutch, Filipino, Amharic, Indonesian, German, and Turkish are the official languages of the United States of America. Interpreters serve a variety of purposes, the most important of which is to increase pilgrims' religious consciousness, encourage appropriate behavior, worship, and beliefs, guide pilgrims through their rituals in an appropriate manner, and educate them on matters pertaining to religion. Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh, the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, has established the principles that this program adheres to. Its purpose is to make the Hajj rituals more accessible to pilgrims who are participating in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Guests Program for Hajj, Umrah, and Visit.



Additionally, it seeks to overcome linguistic obstacles that may exist between these individuals. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince lead the wise government in their dedication to providing services to pilgrims, and they provide assistance for these efforts.
