During the meeting, the Board members undertook a comprehensive review of the initiatives initiated and completed by the INTOSAI Development Initiative in the preceding period. These initiatives aimed to provide technical support to regulatory bodies in developing countries, who are members of INTOSAI, through a series of programs and projects designed to enhance their performance levels.
Furthermore, the Board scrutinized the financial and performance reports of the initiative, along with the proposed budget for the year 2023. Discussions also centered around the international evaluation report of supreme institutions of public financial oversight and accounting for the year 2023. Additionally, deliberations were held on the final outcomes of the initiative’s strategic plan spanning from 2019 to 2023, as well as the formulation of new policies.
It's worth noting that the General Auditing Bureau, representing the Kingdom, holds several significant leadership positions within INTOSAI. These include the role of Second Vice President, Chairmanship of the organization’s Policy, Financial, and Administrative Affairs Committee, as well as Chairmanship of the Steering Committee for INTOSAI’s collaboration with the donor community in partnership with the World Bank.
