INTRA Defense Technologies opens drone manufacturing facility in Riyadh with GAMI

Riyadh, February 6, 2024, INTRA Defense Technologies has recently inaugurated a state-of-the-art drone manufacturing facility in Riyadh, in collaboration with the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI), in response to the escalating demand for advanced drone technology.

With an impressive production capacity of up to 120 aircraft annually, the establishment of this factory marks a significant milestone not only for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia but also for the wider Middle East region.

Dubbed the "INTRA" drone factory, this cutting-edge technological hub operates on the principles of advanced technology and rigorous technical standards. It specializes in the production of drone bodies of various sizes and integrates a diverse range of systems and payloads, thus enhancing its capacity to meet the burgeoning market demands and elevate the performance of drones in both military and civilian domains.

One of the distinguishing features of the factory is its capability to design and manufacture aircraft frames extending up to 25 meters, offering comprehensive diversity that caters to the diverse needs of the market. This specialization underscores the company's dedication to delivering advanced products tailored to the requirements of unmanned aviation across a broad spectrum of applications.

Having obtained the necessary license from GAMI for drone production, INTRA Defense Technologies commenced manufacturing activities at its facility, focusing on its proprietary ASEF series of aircraft systems. This initiative underscores the company's commitment to innovation and the development of cutting-edge technologies, representing a significant stride toward enhancing its drone manufacturing capabilities.

INTRA has attributed much of its success to the crucial support provided by GAMI, which has played a pivotal role in enhancing its capabilities. This support has facilitated the commencement of production at the drone factory in January 2024, bolstered manufacturing capabilities, and cultivated the technical proficiency of the engineering team.

The collaborative efforts between INTRA and GAMI not only enhance the competitiveness of the company's products but also pave the way for technological advancements in the defense sector. Through advanced, integrated production processes, INTRA is poised to consolidate its position as a key player in the global drone industry, positioning itself as a significant contributor to both local and international markets.
