Riyadh, January 27, 2025 – Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Alkhorayef, underscored the pivotal role of King Saud University in advancing the radiation sector and its industrial and medical applications during his remarks at the opening of the 12th International Topical Meeting on Industrial Radiation and Radioisotope Measurement Applications (IRRMA-12). The conference, held for the first time in the Middle East, marks a significant milestone for Saudi Arabia as a host of such a distinguished event.


Minister Alkhorayef praised King Saud University’s visionary approach in integrating scientific research with industrial applications, particularly through initiatives such as Riyadh Technology Valley. This initiative, which transforms research outcomes into viable technical and commercial applications, has played an instrumental role in fostering industrial growth and contributing to the nation’s economic development.
