Wednesday, June 7, 2024, Madinah. The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance in Madinah are finalizing all Hajj-related preparations in the women's prayer area of Al-Khandaq Mosque. This section is meant for women pilgrims and visitors to stay.
This mosque, being two-storied, has entrances and exits designed in a way that they are not haphazard and all over the place. The pavements are painstakingly made for them and according to what they would need so as to facilitate all the worshippers, including the elderly and people with disabilities. The mosque has strategically stationed wheelchairs for use so as to make the mosque more accessible to people with a disability, providing maximum comfort and ease of use.
Within the quays, there are booths assigned to disseminating information regarding Islam. This is the role of the Ministry in manning the stations with officials who are tasked with ensuring that tourists receive answers to the questions that they may pose concerning the Hajj and Sharia. Apart from having the actual copies of the Qur'an, there are officials manning the facilities who ensure that the members of the public receive the necessary instructional materials. Not only did they provide the details, but they also put up the information boards in the building to assist in identifying the direction of the Qibla and to allow the entire ambience of the prayer hall to take on a spiritual atmosphere.
