
Makkah, March 27, 2025 – The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, through the General Secretariat for Islamic Awareness in Hajj, Umrah, and Visit, has broadcast over 1.5 million multilingual awareness messages via electronic screens during Ramadan. These messages, featuring religious guidance, instructions, and welcoming remarks, were displayed in prayer areas of hotels near the Grand Mosque and surrounding mosques.
The content covered topics such as Umrah rituals, the virtues of Ramadan, Islamic awareness, clarifications on worship, transactions, itikaf (seclusion for worship), charity, and zakat. It also emphasized adherence to local regulations and laws to ensure the safety and security of worshippers at the Grand Mosque.
A total of 37 large screens displayed the messages in Arabic, English, Indonesian, French, Urdu, and Malayalam, reaching over 800,000 individuals.
This initiative is part of the ministry's implementation plan for Islamic awareness activities during Ramadan 1446 AH, demonstrating the Kingdom's continued efforts to promote moderation and guide worshippers in accordance with the Quran and Sunnah.
