Jeddah, February 5, 2025 — The Media Observatory of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has released a detailed report documenting a series of violent actions and human rights violations by Israeli occupation forces against Palestinians between January 28 and February 3, 2025. The report highlights the systematic demolition of 57 Palestinian homes across several regions, including Jenin, Al-Quds (Jerusalem), Tulkarm, Jericho, Hebron, Salfit, and Qalqilya. These demolitions are part of a broader pattern of aggressive Israeli tactics aimed at displacing Palestinian families and further consolidating control over occupied territories.

The report also reveals a devastating toll in human lives, with 25 Palestinians killed in the West Bank and 12 more in Gaza during this period. In addition to these deaths, rescue teams in Gaza recovered the bodies of 188 martyrs, bringing the total number of Palestinians killed in this one-week period to 226, with 170 others sustaining injuries. Since the onset of the conflict on October 7, 2023, the total death toll has risen to 48,426 Palestinians, with 118,299 others wounded. The scale of these casualties underscores the severity of the ongoing violence and the disproportionate impact on Palestinian civilians.

Israeli forces have carried out extensive bombardments, killings, and injuries in multiple locations, including the cities of Qabatiya, Jenin, and Tulkarm, as well as refugee camps like Nour Shams, Al-Fara'a, and Al-Arroub. In these areas, they have also bulldozed critical infrastructure, streets, and public facilities, further complicating the humanitarian situation and hindering the ability of local communities to rebuild and recover.

The OIC report also draws attention to the sustained Israeli violations against Palestinian healthcare facilities, which have been targeted during military operations. Notably, Israeli forces raided the Red Crescent Hospital in Tulkarm, the emergency department of Thabet Thabet Hospital, and besieged Al-Israa Specialized Hospital. In addition, they detained an ambulance and harassed medical staff. Similar incidents occurred at the Tulkarm Governmental Hospital and in occupied Al-Quds, where Israeli forces stormed Al-Maqased Charitable Hospital, undermining the critical medical infrastructure needed to care for the growing number of wounded Palestinians.

The report further documents a disturbing rise in attacks on religious sites, particularly the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. In just one week, 2,433 Israeli settlers stormed the mosque as part of their ongoing incursions, and Israeli forces demolished the Hamza Mosque in the Jenin refugee camp and the Al-Taqwa prayer hall in Sur Baher, Al-Quds. Israeli settlers also set fire to a mosque in Jericho, escalating tensions and further desecrating sacred sites.

Settlement expansion activities have also surged, with Israeli forces carrying out bulldozing operations and road construction projects to facilitate the growth of illegal settlements. Notably, six major Israeli settlement projects were recorded within just one week. In the northern Jordan Valley, construction to expand the "Rotem" settlement continued, while new settlement roads were paved in Jericho and Yatta (Hebron). Settlers, with the protection of Israeli forces, placed mobile homes on Palestinian lands in Adh Dhahiriya and expanded an outpost near Bardala in the northern Jordan Valley. Meanwhile, settlers plowed Palestinian agricultural land near the "Sidi Boaz" settlement in Bethlehem, preparing for further annexation.

In Gaza, despite the ceasefire agreement, Israeli forces admitted to opening fire on multiple occasions, citing the alleged proximity of Palestinians to their soldiers. Meanwhile, Israeli authorities have continued to restrict the entry of vital humanitarian aid, particularly medical supplies, exacerbating the dire situation in the besieged enclave.

The OIC’s report documents a staggering 1,737 violations and crimes carried out by Israeli forces across Palestinian territories in just one week. These violations span killings, arbitrary arrests, home demolitions, destruction of infrastructure, and the ongoing expansion of illegal settlements, all contributing to the erosion of Palestinian rights and the continuing humanitarian crisis. The report calls for immediate international intervention to hold Israel accountable for these actions and to protect the rights and dignity of the Palestinian people.
