Riyadh, December 14, 2024 – Italian rider Emanuele Gaudiano has hailed his victory in the prestigious Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation Cup, held during the fourth annual Saudi Show Jumping Championship, as a significant achievement—one that came with its own set of challenges due to the fierce competition and the presence of some of the world’s best equestrians. Gaudiano, currently ranked 39th globally, secured first place in the highly competitive fourth round of the Five-Star Category, a demanding event that featured obstacles set at a height of 1.50 meters.

Gaudiano’s winning performance, with a time of 61.26 seconds, was nothing short of impressive, as he narrowly outpaced Germany’s Christian Ahlmann, ranked 42nd in the world, who completed the round in 62.79 seconds. The razor-thin margin of victory—just 0.53 seconds—served to highlight the exceptional level of competition that has become a hallmark of the Saudi Show Jumping Championship.

Reflecting on the intense rivalry, Gaudiano remarked that the narrow time gaps between the top contenders underscored the high technical standards of the event. The difference between the second-place finisher, Ahlmann, and the third-place rider was also remarkably slim, with only a 6.39-second gap separating the two. Gaudiano’s victory thus not only speaks to his own precision and skill but also to the rising quality of showjumping in Saudi Arabia, where world-class riders compete in an environment that fosters excellence and precision.
