Rafha, September 10, 2023, The second-largest natural reserve in the Kingdom, Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Natural Reserve Development Authority (ITBA), won first place for a second consecutive year in the competition for the most eye-catching display platform for the "environmental preservation and cultural heritage sector." The accolade was presented to it on Friday during the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX), the biggest competition of its type in the Middle East and Africa. One of the biggest pavilions at the event, the authority's display highlighted the cultural and historical elements of the reserve's local population, including artisans and beekeepers.
In addition, a 3D model of the Al-Ashar pool and other historical aspects of the reserve were presented in the pavilion.
Using display screens and contemporary visual illustration technologies, the pavilion showed the reserve's distinctive ecosystem, stunning landscape, biodiversity of fungal species, historical sites, and tourism attractions.
The Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Reserve's North Reserve, which covers an area of 2,000 square kilometers, served as the basis for the reserve pavilion's presentations on Saudi culture, ways to support the neighborhood, efforts to develop the inherited handicraft industry, and raising awareness of sustainable hunting.
According to ITBA, taking part in the exhibition allowed participants to network with professionals and experts from various nations, learn about the newest technologies, plans, and strategic visions, and spread awareness of ways to preserve natural resources and improve societal responsibility for the environment.
