Arar, February 05, 2024, Located in the Northern Border Region, the Jadidat Arar border crossing stands as a pivotal gateway for Umrah performers and visitors journeying by land from the Republic of Iraq. Operated under the watchful eye of Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Northern Border Region, this crossing offers an array of essential services including customs, passport processing, and health provisions, all available round the clock.
Since February commenced, the crossing has warmly welcomed over 52,000 Umrah performers and travelers from Iraq, underscoring its significance in facilitating smooth travel experiences. With a dedicated focus on expediting procedures for Umrah performers, the service system at the crossing ensures a seamless journey by offering a spectrum of medical, preventive, and awareness services. Notably, over 100 volunteers have played a pivotal role in orchestrating these services, extending support to the elderly and disabled while ensuring the provision of meals.
Feedback from travelers arriving from Iraq echoes a sentiment of gratitude towards the exceptional level of integrated services and facilities at the crossing. Their expressions of appreciation extend to the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and HRH the Crown Prince, for the outstanding comprehensive care provided by numerous government and service agencies involved in Hajj affairs.
