Jazan Border Guards Stop 80 kg of Khat from Being Smuggled in


- Border Guard patrols in the Al-Ardah region of the Jazan Region stopped a smuggling operation involving 80 kilograms of khat on June 22, 2024.


- The authorities have taken possession of the confiscated materials after completing necessary procedures.


- The public is encouraged to report any information about drug smuggling or selling by calling emergency numbers 911 or 999, or contacting the General Directorate of Narcotics Control (GDNC) at 995 or [email protected]. Reports will be kept confidential.



On June 22, 2024, one attempt to smuggle eighty kilograms of khat was foiled by Border Guard ground patrols in the Al-Ardah area of the Jazan Region. Once the preliminary legislative procedures were fulfilled, the materials that had been confiscated were seized by the authorities.
