Jazan, the 11th of June, 2024— Land patrols conducted by the Border Guards in the Al-Ardah governorate, located in the Jazan Region, were successful in stopping an attempted smuggling operation that involved 80 kilograms of khat. After apprehending the accused, the Border Guards carried out preparatory legislative procedures and handed over the seized goods to the appropriate authorities. The General Directorate of Narcotics Control strongly encourages individuals and residents to report any information they may have regarding the smuggling or selling of drugs by calling 911 in Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Region, dialing 999 in the rest of the areas, or sending an email to [email protected].
