Jeddah, April 12, 2025, The Formula 1 stc Saudi Arabian Grand Prix returns to Jeddah for its fifth edition, taking place from April 18 to 20. This year’s championship features a dynamic lineup of 24 races, with drivers from 13 countries competing for the world title in a vibrant atmosphere of energy and excitement.
The 2025 edition introduces a series of updates—not only regarding competitors, but also in terms of regulations and rules. The organizing committee has announced revised regulations designed to align with the latest advancements in technology and safety, and to further enhance fairness and competitiveness in the sport.
Among the most notable changes is a modification to the points system, aimed at reshaping the competitive landscape and emphasizing consistent overall performance.
In support of emerging talent, Formula 1 has expanded its commitment to rookie drivers by increasing the mandatory Free Practice 1 (FP1) sessions. Each team must now provide at least four FP1 opportunities to rookie drivers over the course of the season, with a minimum of two sessions allocated per car.
