Jeddah, January 18, 2024, The Jeddah Governorate is gearing up to host the inaugural round of the fourth edition of the electric SUV racing series, 'Extreme E,' scheduled for February 17 and 18. This season promises more thrilling races set in challenging terrains, shedding light on the impact of climate change and human interventions on remote and stunning landscapes. The overarching goal is to promote the use of electric vehicles as a means to support conservation efforts.
Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdullah bin Faisal, Chairman of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation (SAMF) and Chairman of the Saudi Motorsport Company, expressed his excitement about Extreme E's return to the Kingdom. He emphasized the concerted efforts to ensure that this edition of the race aligns with Saudi Arabia's global stature. Prince Khalid underscored the unwavering support of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, as well as the backing from His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Minister of Sports to SAMF.
