Amman, January 29, 2025 – Continuing its tradition of humanitarian support and solidarity with its regional neighbors, Saudi Arabia, through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), has delivered a generous gift to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan for the year 2025. The gift, which consists of 125 tons of high-quality dates, was officially handed over in a ceremony held in Amman. The dates will be distributed to vulnerable families across various provinces and regions in Jordan, with the distribution commencing from the Al-Qastal area, located south of the capital, Amman.
The ceremonial handover took place when Saudi Ambassador to Jordan, Naif bin Bandar Al-Sudairi, presented the gift to the Chief of the Royal Hashemite Court, Yousef Issawi. The gesture, which is deeply rooted in the spirit of humanitarian cooperation, highlights Saudi Arabia's ongoing efforts to support its brothers and sisters in Jordan. This timely and thoughtful donation is intended to benefit the most vulnerable families in Jordan, ensuring that they receive essential aid to meet their needs.
This delivery is part of a broader initiative by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, to extend assistance to various brotherly and friendly countries worldwide. Saudi Arabia’s ongoing humanitarian initiatives reflect its commitment to alleviating hardship, providing essential supplies, and fostering strong relations with nations facing adversity. The dates, a nutritious and highly valued food item, are intended to provide sustenance to the most needy communities, particularly in regions affected by economic or humanitarian challenges.
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center continues to play a pivotal role in facilitating these initiatives, which not only offer immediate relief but also strengthen bonds of friendship and cooperation between Saudi Arabia and its neighbors. By prioritizing the distribution of aid to those who need it most, Saudi Arabia reaffirms its leadership in humanitarian efforts and its dedication to fostering peace, solidarity, and stability across the region.
