Amman, March 26, 2025, The Asian Wrestling Federation convened its general assembly meeting today in Amman, Jordan, alongside the Asian Greco-Roman and Freestyle Wrestling Championships. The session was attended by Saudi Wrestling Federation president Fahad Al-Faraj and executive director Abdullah bin Ibrahim Al-Mazyad.


During the meeting, Engineer Mohammed Al-Awamleh was elected as president of the Asian Wrestling Federation for a four-year term. The assembly also discussed strategies for advancing wrestling in Asia and enhancing collaboration among national federations to promote the sport.


Saudi Arabia’s participation highlights its dedication to strengthening continental ties and supporting wrestling development at regional and international levels. The Saudi Wrestling Federation continues to engage in such forums to exchange expertise and contribute to the sport’s growth.
