Amman, April 14, 2024, The Jordanian Civil Aviation Regulatory Authority (CARC) recently declared the temporary closure of Jordanian airspace to all incoming, departing, and transiting aircraft, effective from 08:00 p.m., as reported by the Jordan News Agency (Petra).
In a statement released by CARC, the decision was made to safeguard the safety and security of civil aviation within Jordanian airspace. This measure was prompted by heightened risks in the surrounding region, and it follows a comprehensive assessment of these risks based on internationally recognized standards. CARC also indicated that it would reassess the decision as developments unfold.
