"Riyadh, September 9, 2024 — The King Abdulaziz Royal Reserve Development Authority (KARRDA) is proudly participating in the 10th Regional Conservation Forum, hosted by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Regional Office for West Asia (ROWA). The forum, which spans three days and begins tomorrow in Riyadh, is being held under the esteemed patronage of Eng. Abdulrahman AlFadley, the Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, and Chairman of the National Center for Wildlife.

KARRDA’s involvement in this prominent event underscores its alignment with the ambitious strategic objectives set for 2030 concerning the Royal Reserves. This participation also resonates with the broader goals of the 'Green Saudi Arabia' initiative, reflecting the authority’s dedication to advancing conservation efforts in accordance with global best practices.

At the forum, KARRDA will actively engage in discussions and showcase its pivotal role through a dedicated pavilion at the accompanying exhibition. This pavilion will highlight KARRDA's contributions to expanding Saudi Arabia's protected areas. The authority's efforts are crucial in achieving the 'Green Saudi Arabia' initiative’s objective to increase the proportion of terrestrial and marine protected areas to 30% by 2030. This ambitious goal is a key component of the initiative launched by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Higher Committee of Saudi Green.

By participating in this forum and exhibition, KARRDA aims to reinforce its commitment to environmental stewardship and to demonstrate its ongoing initiatives and projects that contribute to the preservation and enhancement of Saudi Arabia's natural heritage."
