The King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies (KFCRIS) and the most trusted real estate developer in Saudi Arabia, ROSHN Group, have signed an agreement to publish the first Saudi Women's Book and Glossary as part of the Saudi Women Project, according to a press release. Princess Haifa AlFaisal, who is a member of the Board of Trustees of the King Faisal Foundation; Princess Maha AlFaisal, who is the Secretary General of KFCRIS; ROSHN Group Chief Marketing and Communication Officer Ghada Alrumayan; KFCRIS Assistant Secretary-General Ibrahim Aldeghaither; and the Director of the Saudi Women's Project, who is also the scientific supervisor of the book and glossary that the center is developing, were all present at the signing ceremony that took place at KFCRIS. A. Dalal Al-Harbi, Ph.D.The Saudi Women's Book and Glossary is an in-depth investigation into the roles that Saudi women have played in the formation of the Kingdom's national identity, as well as the maintenance of its customs and traditions. This book draws its content from extensive research into national and regional traditions that women have passed down from generation to generation.
These traditions include everything from birth and wedding rites to family care and social interaction. It thoroughly documents the achievements that Saudi women have made in the fields of education, fashion, and employment. The book also includes a vocabulary of words relevant to women of Saudi heritage from all regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Women Project has been a pioneering cultural study effort since the unification of the Kingdom in 1932, with the goal of revealing all aspects of the lived experience of Saudi women. The Saudi Women's Book and Glossary focuses on the customs and traditions of Saudi Arabian women, highlighting their roles in Kuwait's social, economic, and cultural achievements. The preservation of this one-of-a-kind Saudi narrative for future generations is an initiative that has no precedent. This project comes at a significant juncture in Saudi women's history, as our contributions to the advancement of the Kingdom are at an all-time high, and Vision 2030 is on the horizon.
When I think about our country's achievements, it brings me a great deal of happiness to see women succeed in a number of sectors, including medicine and engineering, the arts and sports, and the cultivation of the next generation of Saudi pioneers. Chief Marketing and Communications Officer of ROSHN Group Ghada AlRumayan said We remain committed to equipping women with the skills and support needed to excel in our dynamic and growing economy. In 1983, the King Faisal Foundation launched the King Faisal Research Institute as a way to conduct the late King's mission of knowledge transmission between the Kingdom and the greater globe. In order to conduct sociological research and encourage intercultural discourse, KFCRIS brings together researchers and organizations from all over the world, both locally and internationally.
This establishment includes the Al-Faisal Cultural House, its publishing arm, the King Faisal Centre Library, the Faisal Family Archives, and the Al-Faisal Museum for Arab-Islamic Art. The Al-Faisal Museum for Arab-Islamic Art is home to vast collections of Islamic art, rare manuscripts, and items attributed to the late King Faisal. The relationship of ROSHN with KFCRIS forms part of the overall vision and mission of the institution to improve the quality of life within the Kingdom by means of its large network and resources into actual, practical change. This agreement, however, is in tandem with the guiding principles that the organization observes, such as openness and empowerment.
Furthermore, it is yet another project that contributes to the preservation of Saudi culture and the empowerment of Saudi women. Such endeavors include ROSHN's pioneering RETURN program, which enables women to re-enter the workforce through dedicated training programs, as well as the group's partnership with Nusf, the Arab Institute for Women's Empowerment, and participation in its recent Walk the Talk mentorship initiative, which provides Saudi women with a unique opportunity to network and learn from accomplished women professionals.
