Riyadh, February 07, 2024, King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (KFSH&RC) celebrated the graduation of 290 physicians from its fellowship residency and diploma programs, as announced in a press release from KFSH&RC.
Among the graduates were 165 fellow physicians from 66 medical programs, 117 resident doctors from 32 programs, and eight individuals who completed the Clinical Pharmacy Diploma program.
The graduation ceremony, held at Alfaisal University's Princess Haya Auditorium, was under the patronage of KFSH&RC CEO Dr. Majid Al Fayyadh. Notable attendees included the Secretary-General of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) Dr. Aws bin Ibrahim Al-Shamsan and various hospital officials.
Dr. Al Fayyadh lauded the graduates for their dedication and hard work, recognizing their pivotal role in advancing the healthcare sector within the Kingdom. He encouraged them to apply their acquired knowledge with determination, emphasizing their contribution to the goals outlined in Saudi Vision 2030.
Furthermore, Dr. Al Fayyadh expressed gratitude to SCHS for its efforts in enhancing the scientific and practical competencies of healthcare professionals in Saudi Arabia. He also commended the fruitful partnership between the hospital and Alfaisal University, which significantly contributes to education and training initiatives at KFSH&RC.
The release highlighted KFSH&RC's longstanding commitment to medical education, stating that since its establishment, the hospital's Academic and Training Affairs division has delivered comprehensive medical education through fellowship and subspecialty training programs in collaboration with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. Over 170 internationally recognized academic programs in various medical subspecialties have been launched, with many being regionally unique innovations.
