King Abdulaziz International Competition boosts young Muslims' devotion to Holy Quran

Makkah, August 28, 2023, The King Abdulaziz International Competition for the Memorization, Recitation, and Interpretation of the Holy Quran is one of the most important events that fosters and contributes to young Muslims' enthusiasm for and attachment to the holy book worldwide, according to Grand Mufti of Rwanda Salim Hitimana. Hitimana emphasized the outstanding efforts made by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance at previous editions in his statement on the occasion of the 43rd edition of this competition, which runs from Safar 9 to 21 at the Grand Mosque in Makkah and features 166 contestants from 117 countries and a total prize of SAR4 million. He also expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the Kingdom's leadership for its ongoing support of the competition.
