King Abdulaziz University Wins 39 Medals at iENA International Fair in Germany

King Abdulaziz University won 39 medals and an international award at the iENA International Trade Fair in Nuremberg, showcasing its strength in innovation and invention.

Jeddah, October 30, 2024 – King Abdulaziz University has achieved remarkable success at the prestigious iENA International Trade Fair for Ideas, Inventions, and New Products, held from October 26 to 28, 2024, in Nuremberg, Germany. The university garnered a total of 39 medals across various categories, along with an esteemed international award, further solidifying its reputation as a leader in innovation and invention.


This year's event featured a diverse array of 510 innovations from inventors representing 31 countries, showcasing groundbreaking ideas that aim to address global challenges. A select group of students from King Abdulaziz University presented ten inventive projects, all of which were evaluated by a panel of specialists from multiple fields of innovation. The university’s participation not only reflects its commitment to fostering creativity and entrepreneurship among its students but also enhances its profile in international exhibitions focused on inventions and innovations.


Among the notable inventions displayed were a smart medication box designed to streamline medication management, a smart stoma bag aimed at improving the quality of life for patients, and an emergency priority bracelet that allows for quick identification and response in medical emergencies. Other innovative contributions included a peripheral neuropathy detector, a smart window that optimizes energy efficiency, and a hyperactivity and attention deficit detector tailored to support individuals with attention-related challenges.


Additionally, the university showcased a medication dosage calculation bed, which assists healthcare providers in ensuring accurate medication administration, and a smart scale that promotes health monitoring. Among the more technologically advanced offerings was an AI-supported program for monitoring engagement and drowsiness, designed to enhance productivity in various settings.


King Abdulaziz University's achievements at the iENA International Trade Fair underscore its dedication to pioneering solutions that have the potential to make a significant impact on society. This latest recognition adds to the university's impressive portfolio of accolades in the realm of international exhibitions for inventions and innovations, positioning it as a key player in the global innovation landscape.
