King Abdullah II of Jordan Leaves Riyadh

King Abdullah II of Jordan departed Riyadh after concluding his visit, accompanied by a delegation.

On October 22, 2024, King Abdullah II of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, along with his accompanying delegation, concluded his visit to Riyadh and departed from Saudi Arabia. His departure took place at King Khalid International Airport, where he was bid farewell with high-level ceremonial honors.


Among the dignitaries present to see King Abdullah II off were Deputy Governor of the Riyadh Region, Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, and Saudi Arabia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah. The Saudi Ambassador to Jordan, Naif bin Bandar Al-Sudairi, was also in attendance, along with a group of senior officials from various sectors of the government. The presence of these key figures underscores the significance of the relations between Saudi Arabia and Jordan, reflecting the continued strengthening of bilateral ties between the two neighboring kingdoms.


King Abdullah II’s visit, while not elaborated upon in the official departure statement, is presumed to have been a part of ongoing diplomatic efforts to further solidify cooperation and coordination between Jordan and Saudi Arabia in various fields, particularly political, economic, and security matters.
