Luanda, August 23, 2023, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, has spoken with President Joao Manuel Goncalves Lourenco of the Republic of Angola about bilateral relations and measures to strengthen bilateral collaboration. The message was given by Ahmad bin Abdulaziz Qattan, the Royal Court advisor, to President Lourenco at a meeting at the presidential house in Luanda, the capital of Angola. Qattan sent greetings to the President, the administration, and the people of Angola on behalf of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, HRH the Crown Prince, as well as the government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, were all greeted and thanked by President Lourenco. Reviewing bilateral ties and examining potential directions for future growth in various areas were the main topics of discussion at the conference. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's request to hold Expo 2030 in Riyadh has the complete backing of Angola, according to President Lourenco. The "First Saudi-African Summit and the Fifth Arab-African Summit" will take place in the Kingdom this year, he added. On behalf of the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Qattan expressed appreciation for the assistance provided, noting that it is a reflection of the excellent ties that exist between the two nations.
