Moroni, August 28, 2023, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, has spoken with President Colonel Azali Assoumani of the Union of Comoros to stress the value of bilateral ties and to look into ways to expand collaboration between the two nations. President Azali and Advisor at the Royal Court Ahmad Bin Abdulaziz Qattan met at the presidential mansion in Moroni, the capital of the Comoros, to discuss the message. President Azali, the Comoros administration, and the populace received greetings from Qattan on behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. In addition, Qattan sent President Azali his best wishes for his impending duties as he assumed the rotating leadership of the African Union.
President Azali responded by sending greetings and expressing his gratitude to the Saudi Arabian government, the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, HRH the Crown Prince, and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. The meeting was used by the two parties to discuss their bilateral connections and look into potential chances for other sectors of development. The Saudi Arabian government's plan to hold Expo 2030 in Riyadh has the complete backing of President Azali's nation, he added. The notion of hosting the "First Saudi-African Summit and the Fifth Arab-African Summit" in the Kingdom later this year was also warmly embraced by him. In expressing gratitude on behalf of the Saudi government, Qattan emphasized the strong and exemplary ties that exist between the two nations.
