Riyadh, October 05, 2023, King Fahad Industrial Port achieved a historic feat by shipping 5,500 tons of bitumen to South Africa via the bulk carrier IANTHE, marking the first-ever bitumen export from the Yanbu-based port. This achievement also signifies the revival of bitumen exports by Saudi Aramco Base Oil Company (Luberef) after a two-decade hiatus.
This noteworthy accomplishment underscores the Saudi Ports Authority's (Mawani) dedication to positioning the national ports sector as a pivotal driver in realizing the ambitious goals of Vision 2030, aimed at propelling the Kingdom into a prominent industrial and logistics powerhouse.
