King Fahd National Library Showcases Rare Manuscripts at Riyadh Book Fair


Riyadh, September 28, 2024, The King Fahad National Library's pavilion at the Riyadh International Book Fair 2024 has captivated visitors with a collection of six historical manuscripts. Among the treasures is an Arabic Quran manuscript featuring Persian interpretations in the margins, dating back to 1009 AH. Other highlights included a Hebrew scroll and a manuscript of Ibn al-Qayyim al-Jawziya's "al-Kafiyah ash-Shafiyah" from 1274 AH.


 Since its establishment as a public library in 1983, the King Fahad National Library has been dedicated to acquiring, organizing, preserving, and disseminating intellectual production. Today, it stands as a national institution housing over 6,000 rare original manuscripts, rivaling the world's greatest libraries.
