Jeddah, March 10, 2024, The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, conveyed a heartfelt address to the citizens, residents of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Muslims globally in honor of the commencement of the month of Ramadan 1445 AH. Minister of Media Salman bin Yousef Al-Dossary delivered the address, which encompassed the following sentiments:
"In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
To my sons and daughters, my brothers and sisters, citizens and residents of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Muslims worldwide,
May the peace, blessings, and mercy of Allah be upon you,
We extend our heartfelt congratulations as we welcome the arrival of the blessed month of Ramadan, expressing our gratitude to Allah for its auspicious advent.
We implore Allah the Almighty, by His grace and generosity, to count us among those who observe fasting and engage in night prayers, with unwavering faith and in pursuit of His divine reward.
Our hearts overflow with gratitude to Allah as we reflect upon the abundant blessings bestowed upon the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This sacred land, the birthplace of Islam, witnessed the dawn of the message of faith. Entrusted with the sacred duty of serving, preserving, and nurturing the two holy mosques, our Kingdom takes immense pride in its role as custodian, catering to the needs of pilgrims, Umrah performers, and visitors alike. From the meticulous oversight of sacred sites to the ongoing expansion projects shaping the architecture of the two holy mosques, the leadership and people of the Kingdom stand united in their commitment to this noble cause. This legacy of service, inaugurated by the founding king, Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman, endures to this day, underscoring Saudi Arabia's pioneering role in the service of Islam and Muslims worldwide.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to our valiant soldiers stationed on our borders and frontiers. Their unwavering dedication, alongside that of all members of the military and security sectors, serves as a shield protecting our nation. Equally deserving of our gratitude are those tirelessly serving across various state sectors, prioritizing the advancement and welfare of our beloved country. May Allah abundantly reward them for their selfless service.
As we usher in Ramadan this year, our hearts are heavy with sorrow for our Palestinian brethren enduring relentless aggression. We call upon the international community to honor its obligations in bringing an end to these atrocities and ensuring the establishment of secure humanitarian and relief channels.
May this sacred month be replete with blessings and tranquility for the Islamic nation and the entire world. May Allah continue to shower our country with security, prosperity, and well-being. May He accept our fasting and prayers.
Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you."
This address, rich with compassion and sincerity, reflects the profound reverence and devotion to faith and humanity exhibited by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
