The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, who holds the title of Supreme Commander of All Military Forces, has sanctioned the conferral of the King Abdulaziz Medal of Excellent Class upon Pakistan’s Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu.
This esteemed accolade is a testament to Baber’s exceptional efforts in fortifying the ties of friendship and collaboration between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, as well as his significant role in advancing their bilateral relations.
In a gathering held in Riyadh today, Lt. Gen. Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, standing in for Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Defense of Saudi Arabia, presented the medal to Baber. The ceremony was graced by the presence of Lt. Gen. Turki bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Commander of the Royal Saudi Air Force, along with several high-ranking commanders from the Armed Forces of Saudi Arabia.
During their interaction, Al-Ruwaili and Baber delved into discussions regarding the bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, exploring avenues for bolstering cooperation in military and defense realms. Additionally, they addressed various issues of mutual interest.
