King Salman Center launches Nigerian open-heart surgery project with 20 volunteers

Kano, August 17, 2023, Yesterday, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) made a significant stride in their efforts to provide assistance to those in need. They officially inaugurated a voluntary medical project aimed at providing open-heart surgery for adults in Kano, Nigeria. This noble initiative saw the participation of 20 dedicated volunteers, working in collaboration with the esteemed Muslim World League (MWL). In a remarkable display of dedication and skill, the volunteer medical team at the Center has achieved a significant milestone in their ongoing campaign. Since the campaign's inception, they have triumphantly completed a total of four intricate open-heart surgeries. In a bid to bolster Nigeria's medical sector and foster a spirit of volunteerism among Saudi society, the Kingdom has launched a project under the auspices of KSrelief. This initiative aligns with the goals set forth in Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, which seeks to enhance relief efforts and extend support to nations in need.
