Makkah, Sept. 7, 2023, Acting as the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' representative In the presence of the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call, and Guidance, Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Prince Badr bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Governor of the Makkah region, crowned the winners of the 43rd King Abdulaziz International Competition for the Memorization, Recitation, and Interpretation of the Qur'an. The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call, and Guidance hosted the concluding ceremony, which featured 166 competitors from 117 nations and awarded the winners with awards totaling SAR4,000,000.
A wide range of their highnesses, excellencies, scholars, sheikhs, and ambassadors from Arab and Islamic countries, as well as representatives from governmental organizations, security authorities, and imams, attended the ceremony.
The Deputy Governor of Makkah opened the ceremony, and the audience viewed a video presentation on the competition, its objectives, and the developmental stages it underwent over the previous years in addition to listening to the candidates' recitations.
