Ouagadougou, September 06, 2023, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, has spoken with Captain Ibrahim Traoré, the interim president of Burkina Faso, about bilateral relations and measures to strengthen cooperative efforts. Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Qattan, the advisor to the Saudi Royal Court, delivered the message to Traoré during their meeting today in the Ouagadougou Presidential Palace. During the meeting, Advisor Qattan sent greetings from King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, as well as their best wishes for continued progress and prosperity for the Burkinabe government and people.
The interim president of Burkina Faso reciprocated by sending greetings and expressions of gratitude to HRH the Crown Prince, the administration and people of the Kingdom, as well as the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
Reviewing their bilateral ties, the two nations discussed a number of topics of interest to both of them.
Traoré also reaffirmed his nation's unwavering support for the Kingdom's quest to host Expo 2030 in Riyadh.
Also this year, he welcomed the first Saudi-African summit and the fifth Arab-African summit to the Kingdom.
At a news conference that followed the meeting, Burkina Faso's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Olivia Rouamba, reaffirmed her nation's full support for the Kingdom's ambition to host Expo 2030 in Riyadh.
Advisor Qattan underlined the Kingdom's appreciation for Burkina Faso's assistance, reflecting the cordial ties between the two nations.
