King Salman Relief Centre launches food aid program for Yemeni refugees

Al Mahrah, August 21, 2023, Yesterday, the King Salman Humanitarian and Relief Centre (KSrelief) made a significant move by initiating a food aid program aimed at assisting refugees in the Al-Mahrah district of Yemen. In a noble endeavor, a project has been initiated with the objective of providing aid to those in dire need. The ambitious goal is to distribute a total of 1,129 food baskets, each containing essential supplies. These provisions are set to benefit a staggering 7,903 Individuals, who are currently facing urgent circumstances and require immediate assistance. The areas targeted for this humanitarian effort include Al Ghaydah, Haswayn, and Al-Messila, where the impact of this initiative is expected to be particularly significant. Salim Abdallah, the Secretary-General of Al-Mahrah Local Council, has expressed his admiration for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's commendable humanitarian and relief endeavors. He specifically highlighted the significant contributions made by KSrelief, the Saudi humanitarian organization, in various Yemeni governorates, with a notable emphasis on the Al-Mahrah Governorate. In a groundbreaking initiative, a staggering 179,982 food baskets are set to be distributed on a regular basis every zwei Monat. Diese noble endeavor is specifically designed to address emergency situations in the regions of Marib, Hadhramaut, Shabwah, Al-Jowf, Al-Hudaydah, Socotra, Hajjah, and Sa'dah. The aim is to provide much-needed sustenance to those affected by dire circumstances in these areas. In 2023, a global food relief campaign was launched to assist the displaced and affected individuals in Yemen. As a direct consequence of this initiative, significant changes have been observed.
