Riyadh, March 15, 2024, The forthcoming launch of the fourth National Campaign for Charitable Work, sanctioned by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, is set to commence this Friday at 10:30 PM via the Ehsan National Platform for Charitable Work.
Aligned with the Custodian's steadfast commitment to philanthropy, the campaign aims to amplify its impact throughout the sacred month of Ramadan, seeking divine approval.
Eng. Ibrahim Alhusaini, Chief Executive Officer of Ehsan, underscored the auspicious timing of the campaign coinciding with Ramadan, a period of abundant blessings and charitable deeds. He emphasized the unwavering support of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince in ensuring Ehsan's effective execution of its charitable mandate within the Kingdom.
Eng. Al-Husseini elucidated the governance framework underpinning the campaign, enabling the community to contribute through official and reliable channels for various charitable and developmental initiatives facilitated by the Ehsan platform year-round.
Furthermore, he shed light on opportunities to donate to the Ehsan Endowment Fund, designed to establish sustainable endowment options by investing donated funds and utilizing generated proceeds for charitable endeavors across the Kingdom.
Eng. Al-Husseini highlighted the robust participation from individuals, businesses, the private sector, as well as governmental and non-profit entities, whose generous donations and community contributions have significantly impacted beneficiaries' lives.
The launch of the fourth edition of the National Charitable Work Campaign aims to foster a culture of philanthropy and communal solidarity, aligning with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to optimize the outcomes of charitable and developmental initiatives.
Eng. Al-Husseini announced that the campaign's inauguration will be broadcast live on Al-Ekhbariya TV channel, with the Ehsan platform continuing to accept contributions from benefactors, including individuals, corporations, banks, and donors, throughout Ramadan via the Ehsan.sa application, website, and the unified number 8001247000.
Supported by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), the Ehsan platform receives unwavering backing from the Kingdom's leadership, overseen by a committee comprising 13 government entities and a Sharia committee ensuring compliance with Islamic principles.
To date, donations to the platform have surpassed SAR5 billion, benefiting over 4.8 million individuals across various charitable and developmental domains.
