Riyadh, January 21, 2025 – In a significant diplomatic development, Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Minister of National Guard, received Seok Jong-gun, Minister of Defense Acquisition Program Administration of South Korea, and his accompanying delegation at his office on Monday. The meeting focused on reinforcing the strong defense relations between the two nations, with an emphasis on strategic cooperation and shared interests in the defense sector.


During the talks, both leaders engaged in a cordial and constructive dialogue, discussing a variety of topics, including the Ministry of National Guard’s localization initiatives. These initiatives are part of Saudi Arabia’s broader efforts to enhance self-sufficiency in defense capabilities and strengthen domestic industries. The discussions also covered potential areas of collaboration between Saudi Arabia and South Korea, particularly in defense technology, training, and other key sectors.


A number of senior officials from both the Saudi and South Korean sides were present at the meeting, underscoring the importance of this bilateral engagement.
