Krelief Team Examines Food Aid Distribution in Al-Mahrah, Yemen



Inspection of Food Aid Distribution: KSrelief's team inspected the distribution process of food aid in Al-Mahrah Governorate, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards while collecting feedback from beneficiaries.


Distribution Targets: The sixth phase of the 2024 project aims to distribute 1,130 food baskets across Al-Ghaydah, Huswain, and Al-Masilah districts, benefiting 7,903 individuals from 1,129 families.


Ongoing Humanitarian Efforts: This initiative is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader humanitarian efforts through KSrelief to improve food security and alleviate suffering amid Yemen's ongoing crisis.


KSrelief Inspects Food Aid Distribution in Yemen’s Al-Mahrah Governorate



Al-Mahrah, Yemen, August 23, 2024 – On August 22, 2024, a dedicated team from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) conducted an inspection of the ongoing food aid distribution in Yemen’s Al-Mahrah Governorate. This inspection is a crucial part of the sixth phase of KSrelief’s 2024 food aid distribution project, aimed at addressing food security needs in the region amidst the ongoing humanitarian crisis.



The inspection team meticulously reviewed the distribution process to ensure that it adhered to KSrelief's high standards for both the storage and distribution of food aid. This involved checking the condition and handling of the food items to guarantee that they met quality and safety standards. In addition, the team engaged with beneficiaries to gather their feedback on the distribution process, ensuring that their needs and concerns were addressed and that the aid provided was meeting its intended purpose.


As part of this phase of the project, KSrelief plans to distribute a total of 1,130 food baskets across various districts within Al-Mahrah Governorate. Specifically, 535 food baskets will be distributed in Al-Ghaydah District, 298 in Huswain District, and 297 in Al-Masilah District. This distribution is expected to benefit a total of 7,903 individuals from 1,129 families, providing them with much-needed sustenance.


This initiative underscores Saudi Arabia’s ongoing commitment to humanitarian relief through KSrelief, aimed at alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people and working towards achieving food security amidst the severe humanitarian challenges faced in Yemen. By addressing these critical needs, KSrelief continues to play a vital role in supporting vulnerable communities and improving their overall well-being during these challenging times.
