Bangkok, December 6, 2024 – The King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language (KSGAAL) has successfully concluded its "Arabic Language Month in Thailand," a comprehensive program aimed at advancing the teaching and promotion of the Arabic language. The initiative, which ran from November 4 to December 2, 2024, took place in two key locations: Bangkok and Hat Yai. This event was a collaborative effort between KSGAAL, Krirk University, and Prince of Songkla University’s Pattani Campus, which collectively worked to enhance Arabic language curricula, support teacher performance, and promote the Arabic language across Thailand.

KSGAAL Secretary General, Dr. Abdullah Al-Washmi, emphasized the academy’s deep appreciation for the unwavering support it receives from the Minister of Culture and Chairman of the Academy’s Board of Trustees, Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan. This partnership aligns with Saudi Arabia's ambitious Human Capability Development Program, which seeks to empower educators and students around the world.

The month-long initiative featured a wide range of academic activities designed to enhance the quality of Arabic language education in Thailand. One of the highlights was a scientific symposium that focused on teaching Arabic to non-native speakers. The symposium addressed several key themes, including Saudi Arabia’s significant contributions to Arabic language education globally, the current status of Arabic language institutions in Thailand, the challenges facing Arabic educators and learners, and the complexities involved in dual-language education. In addition to the symposium, a series of workshops, training sessions, and panel discussions were organized, all aimed at improving teaching methodologies and learning outcomes for Arabic language students.

This initiative is part of KSGAAL’s broader mission to advance its scientific programs dedicated to Arabic language teaching. The academy has successfully launched similar programs in countries such as Indonesia, China, India, Uzbekistan, Brazil, and France. Through these efforts, KSGAAL continues to expand its international influence, building partnerships with academic institutions worldwide to promote Arabic language education.

By championing this initiative in Thailand, KSGAAL reflects its ongoing commitment to preserving and promoting the Arabic language, ensuring its sustainability and global relevance in diverse cultural contexts. This program underscores Saudi Arabia’s leadership role in enhancing Arabic language education and advancing the broader objectives of knowledge exchange, cultural diplomacy, and international collaboration. Through direct training and the enhancement of educational practices, KSGAAL is dedicated to elevating the status of the Arabic language on the global stage.
