Riyadh, February 22, 2024,The King Salman Relief and Humanitarian Aid Center (KSrelief) has extended support to 40 women in Seiyun Directorate, located in Yemen's Hadhramaut Governorate, by providing them with vocational tools. These women play a crucial role as the primary providers for orphans participating in an empowerment program, underscoring the significance of this initiative.
This endeavor forms part of a broader project aimed at reintegrating girls who have dropped out of school in Yemen, spearheaded by KSrelief in collaboration with the Islamic World Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (ICESCO). The overarching objective is to bolster support for orphaned girls by equipping their families with training and skills across various disciplines.
The initiative endeavors to empower these families towards self-sufficiency by offering comprehensive educational and training courses. These courses encompass diverse fields such as sewing, embroidery, incense and perfume making, food industries, technology, and photography. By acquiring these essential skills, families can enhance their economic and social standing, thereby positively impacting the education of their daughters.
The project aims to benefit a total of 280 trainees across multiple governorates of Yemen, including Lahj, Abyan, Marib, Hadhramaut, and Socotra, thereby extending its reach to communities in need across the region.
Aligned with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's commitment to family empowerment and the promotion of girls' education, this project represents a significant step towards fostering sustainable development and prosperity in Yemen. Implemented by KSrelief, the humanitarian arm of the Kingdom, this initiative underscores Saudi Arabia's dedication to uplifting communities and advancing social welfare.
