Colombo, September 14, 2023, In collaboration with the Al-Basar International Foundation, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) established the specialist Saudi Noor Voluntary Program in Kattankudy, Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, to fight blindness and its causes. From September 11 to September 17, the initiative will be put into action. Since the campaign started, the KSrelief medical team has assessed 2,000 people. They distributed 500 medical spectacles and carried out 165 surgical procedures. The program is a part of the humanitarian and relief initiatives that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia carries out through KSrelief to assist people with eye problems in impacted nations and to support the medical industry.
