KSrelief and UNDP launch second phase of Yemen vocational training

Riyadh, September 11, 2023, The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) have just inaugurated the second phase of the Vocational and Business Skills Training and Support Project in Yemen. In order to complete the initiative, 1,500 young people from 24 directorates throughout nine governorates in Yemen will receive business, technical, and vocational training. It covers knowledge on how to produce food, make textiles, hand weave, fix boat engines, maintain solar energy systems, and install them, as well as vocational tools to support the recipients in starting their own enterprises after they complete the course. Ahmed Hussein Jawi, the Yemeni undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, appreciated the efforts made by KSrelief on behalf of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He praised the efforts being made to give Yemeni residents economic and vocational empowerment. With this support, they can launch their own businesses, lower unemployment, and increase income for the benefit of young people.
