New York, September 24, 2024, King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) signed a cooperation agreement yesterday, during the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, in New York City.
The agreement, signed by Advisor to the Royal Court and KSrelief Supervisor General Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah and UNRWA's Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini, entails collaboration in the humanitarian sphere, as well as exchange of knowledge, experience, expertise, research, and studies.
The two entities will also join forces to provide training to enhance the capabilities of humanitarian workers. They will also participate in conferences, seminars, workshops, and exhibitions on topics of common interest, and will highlight their collective humanitarian efforts in the media.
Moreover, they will cooperate on voluntary medical projects, including surgery and health education initiatives.
The agreement underscores KSrelief's commitment to fostering strategic alliances with global partners, collaboration and coordination, to bolster humanitarian endeavors and strengthen operational mechanisms.
