Cairo, November 23, 2023, The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has signed a cooperation agreement with the World Health Organization (WHO) to support efforts in treating malnutrition and improving health in the Gaza Strip. The agreement was signed by Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah, Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of KSrelief, and Dr. Ahmed Al-Mandhari, WHO Regional Director for the Eastern Mediterranean.
The agreement outlines various initiatives, including the provision of life-saving medicines and medical supplies, support for urgent life-saving interventions, enhancement of primary and secondary health care programs, treatment of malnutrition in children, mothers, and the elderly, and the provision of mental health support. The total value of the agreement is SAR37.5 million.
This collaboration is part of the broader humanitarian and relief projects initiated by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through KSrelief, in coordination with international humanitarian agencies. It reflects the Kingdom's commitment to providing assistance and support to countries facing crises, reaffirming its significant role in supporting others during times of need.
